Table and chairs were purchased from a local consignment store. Silk panels at the bay window inspired the color scheme for the room. New chandelier, sideboard and accessories. My original abstract painting over the sideboard was completed with the help of my client’s three children. Each child painted fingerprints on the canvas.
Started with an empty room. New tightback sofa in herringbone tweed from Duralee. Side chair also from Duralee. The colorful linen floral window treatments (fabric from Duralee) provided the color scheme for the room.
White laminate cabinet fronts and white solid surface countertops were removed and replaced with new, solid wood doors painted cream with a taupe glaze. A new island was designed to accommodate counter seating. New, granite countertops. Undercabinet lighting and additional moldings were added to dress up the space. The former “desk” space was turned into a pantry for this busy family of 5. A tumbled marble backsplash with glass accent tiles completed this renovation.
